US Businesses lease or finance over $1 trillion of equipment each year. Companies often lease rather than buy assets in almost every major procurement category from transportation and material handling to IT and office equipment. Yet, few companies are employing best practices for competitive sourcing and spend management to reduce the financing fees associated with leasing. In the past few years, a handful of Fortune 500 companies have pioneered a new approach to sourcing equipment financing that yields savings of over 10%.

In this session, attendees will hear case studies and learn strategies for:

  • Avoiding predatory and unfavorable terms when negotiating leasing contracts
  • Consolidating spend for lease financing across business units
  • Unbundling equipment financing fees from service contracts
  • Generating RFPs for competitive bidding on equipment financing
  • Analyzing spend patterns to detect over-payments and excess fees
