Original Inquiry

I am looking for some help on how to write a solid Statement of Work / Service Level Agreement for product development related activities. I have seen some papers on why it is important to have solid SOWs and SLAs with Key and Critical Performance Indicators, but I would like to have some help in some specific areas. I am not looking for a consultant to do this for me, I am looking to develop this skill for myself (and eventually for my team and engineering stakeholders). Too often today, we bring in engineering support without a solid way to measure quality, cost, efficiency, etc.

Many of the web resources out there are able to help train folks in other areas, such as finance or IT – but it is proving difficult to find something for engineering in the product development world.

Do any SIG members have any recommendations for classes, workshops, or specific seminars for related information?
