In this session the presenters will dissect the different contracting and buying processes used in two complex sourcing projects, examining the operational implications of each. These deals will be used to discuss collaborative contracting. It will also highlight how correctly applying collaborative contracting principles can lead to increased operational effectiveness after closing.

Topics in this session included:

  • How to think about and lower transaction costs
  • The difference between deal economics and deal financials and why that matters
  • Collaborative contracting techniques that work without leaving you feeling “exposed”
  • The connection between services, service level and pricing schedules and how that connection affects performance
