Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Progressive

Join us for this session for strategies for approaching two (2) different spend categories; Information Technology (IT) and Travel.

A Dynamic Approach for IT Spend at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME): How does procurement drive savings for the enterprise where technology solutions have become core to the business and technologists simply need to get their job done? In this session you ll learn how to accomplish Procurement's goals without being viewed as a roadblock to the organization. We will discuss the process we ve institutionalized at CME that delivers substantial savings in technology procurement deals which can be applied to other category spends in the organization. A repeatable, and yes, simple example will be included in the discussion.

A Demand Management Approach for Travel Expenses at Progressive Insurance: How do you manage spend in a category where you don't own the contracts nor can you mandate supplier use or service discontinuation? That was our challenge with managing travel demand. We will discuss how we met that challenge using an analytical approach to address demand management of travel expenses.
