During the 1st day of the Sourcing Industry Group (SIG) Global Summit at Amelia Island, Florida, a group of Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) and senior procurement executives assembled for an Executive Roundtable
to discuss trends and challenges in procurement. The group discussed a range of topics including risk management, talent management, global sourcing strategies and compliance and regulatory issues. However, risk management seemed to be the topic of the day, and much of the conversation centered around the definitions, strategies, programs and best practices related to risk.
