“That’s what we have always done,” won’t achieve innovation. Today’s business environment is volatile and complex. The tactics adopted over the last 30 years are no longer effective. Business success in this century will be achieved through flexible relationships to meet emerging trends, technologies, problems and risks, not leveraging power. Sourcing Business Models are the answer. In this workshop, the presenter reviewed the models and use the associated tools to identify and easily construct the best approach for any spend category. The presenter also shared insights from the book, “Strategic Sourcing in the New Economy: Harnessing the Potential of Sourcing Business Models for Modern Procurement” to help professionals surpass today’s business goals.

Topics covered in this session included:

  • Characteristics of the seven Sourcing Models’ that can help you manage value and risk
  • How to use a mapping tool to select the best model
  • Guidelines for each model to help you manage the sourcing process
