You’ve been assigned a new commodity or service category to manage and/or support, one that has historically been out-of-scope for procurement, or where sourcing has never had any traction. This session will address those questions and some of the common profiles for stakeholders, such as: • “Supplier Sam” – lives near, socializes with, or is related to one or more of their primary suppliers • “No Metrics Merle” – doesn’t require a scorecard, reporting, quality performance reviews (QPRs) or paperwork because he knows how the supplier is doing • “Contract Cara” – always in the midst of important contract negotiations (most often without procurement) and will let you know when they need you • “Nervous Ned” – can’t function without his primary suppliers.
