BPS Code of Conduct: A Shared Solution for Protecting Confidential Information

BPS Code of Conduct: A Shared Solution for Protecting Confidential Information

The SIG Resource Center is moving to The SIG Community. If you are a SIG Member, or enrolled in SIG University, and don’t have access yet, you can do so here. Already have access? Log in and visit the new SIG Resource Center.

Protecting confidential information is mission critical for all stakeholders involved in Business Process Services (BPS) initiatives. However, defining confidential information can be a challenge, as not all parties may have the same understanding and approach. What should buyers expect from their providers? What should buyers be expected to share after the buy? Join us as industry thought leaders from each constituency (buyer, advisor, industry leader and provider) explore these questions with a new resolution called the “BPS Code of Conduct.”

Topics in this session included:

  • About the industry’s need to protect information
  • Mutually acceptable and appropriate guidelines for protecting information
  • Common and enduring practices
  • The types of information considered confidential
  • How providers collect and disseminate information
  • Acceptable boundaries on what information buyers should or should not expect from providers
