Congratulations! You have just finished reading the report-out from your participation in a benchmarking survey and it indicates that your supply chain is near world class when compared to your peers. But do your internal customers agree? Are you truly world class in their eyes? This session showcased the efforts of a global mining company’s supply chain to develop an overarching strategy, aligned with the business, while ensuring everyone from the mechanic to the CEO understands the value the strategy enables. Understanding the needs and expectations of internal customers, delivering to those needs and resetting expectations where necessary are critical success factors in helping the business see supply chain as a valued partner.

Topics covered in this session included:

  • An approach to developing a business aligned supply chain strategy
  • How a Fortune 500 company is using this approach to reset its supply chain strategy in alignment with enterprise expectations
  • How to communicate your strategy and alignment by doing rather than telling
