Join Genentech, Inc., A Member of the Roche Group as they detail their Transformational Process Improvement Project. The project will be describe how they applied the Lean Six Sigma methodology enabling step change improvement in Contracting Process Performance and setting foundation for further transformational journey. This Contracting process redesign project was driven by a cross-functional team with a global foot-print. The team had representation from Contracting, Legal, IT System and core procurement in different geographic locations. From statements such as "It is too complex, requires too much effort and takes too long to get a third-party contract" to cycle time reduction, productivity improvement, creation of one standard global contracting process and generating user requirements for IT systems after the implementation of this project. Outputs from this project further enabled globally standardized IT system implementation and strategic workforce planning to effectively and efficiently serve stakeholders spread across the globe.
