Are your internal stakeholders engaged with Procurement – early and consistently? American Financial Group won’t tout a best in class procurement organization, but we have celebrated some modest successes. In this session, we will reflect on our successes and talk about what went well and the lessons learned while working towards stakeholder engagement. The foundation of our success is our ability and willingness to customize our support to meet the stakeholders’ needs. We then build on that foundation by understanding the internal customers’ environment, establishing regular communication, and demonstrating value. The end result – hopefully – is internal stakeholder engagement. AFG Procurement is not perfect, but you will come away from this session with practical and actionable ideas for any other real-world, imperfect procurement organization.
