During this session, Boeing will share insights and perspectives on the key challenges large global enterprises face today in designing, building, implementing and sustaining a high performing team of global sourcing professionals. Even with decades of successful sourcing, robust tools and processes are not enough to assure that vital knowledge is sustained as employees retire or change positions within the organization. Boeing will share their approach to their Sourcing Talent Management Program and share experiences to-date in the roll-out of the program.

Topics in this session included:

  • The key challenges and issues facing global enterprises as they attempt to develop their human talent to deliver strategic sourcing, procurement and vendor management functions
  • Specific areas of knowledge, skills and experiences required by enterprise-wide support teams
  • The business case for developing and implementing a Global Sourcing Talent Management Program that includes both tangible and intangible benefits
