In the circumstances of an interconnected, volatile world, procurement needs to take a proactive approach to risk mitigation and ensure a supply base that can withstand disruptive events – and to have alternatives at hand. Thereby, procurement ensures business continuity.

It is key for procurement to master its data on existing suppliers but also to generate global supplier market insights at speed to identify new, unknown suppliers to mitigate risk.
