When you join an existing organization or go through a major organizational shift process, you may have opportunities to make small, incremental changes or larger changes based on the department maturity level and existing business conditions. What is key is to identify those prospects and prioritize based on level of complexity, amount of buy-in and effort required by others and immediate vs. long-term organization needs. Given most companies are in a state of constant change, this evolution of organizational development is an ongoing effort which requires a focused dedication from your management team. In this session, we will share some learnings from Adobe and encourage other attendees to share their experiences as well.
Topics in this session included:
- Best practices for hiring and team training/development
- How analysis of job roles/responsibilities/skillsets and organization flexibility empowers employees with ‘stretch projects’ and scope breadth
- How this collective effort results in elevating the team’s function and driving maximum value for the business
