Multiple global events over the last several years have demonstrated the importance of third party resiliency for business operations. Macro threats continue to increase, and while most organizations have some risk mitigation practices in place, they have proven to be not as effective. This has caused businesses to become dependent on a third party’s technology and often the transition cannot be done with agility. This session aims to outline the framework Cigna is utilizing to assess and address third party operational resiliency risks. We will discuss the resiliency parameters we are using, our initial insights, and examples of short-term and long-term mitigation actions.
