The SIG Resource Center is moving to The SIG Community. If you are a SIG Member, or enrolled in SIG University, and don’t have access yet, you can do so here. Already have access? Log in and visit the new SIG Resource Center.

In companies where risk of data exposure is a serious threat to existence, which C-suite executive has the ultimate responsibility for accepting supplier risk? All C-level executives have competing objectives: LOB heads are concerned with revenue generation…Finance is concerned with financial performance…R&D is concerned with product delivery…so who is concerned with risk? For companies to overcome this obstacle, they first need to have the right processes and mechanisms in place so the proper dialogues can be held. Vantiv shared some of their lessons learned in an interactive session where others can also share experiences.

Topics covered in this session included:

  • Whether Procurement can help solve the risk equation
  • Who leads the risk discussion
  • How to address conflicting interests
  • What works and what does not
