With the economic uncertainty over the last few years post-pandemic, organizations have deployed many strategies to reduce costs, such as layoffs, headcount freezes, etc. Unfortunately, the pendulum has swung too far, where hiring managers circumvent their organization’s policies to get work done. Magnit data has shown a marked increase in Managed Services and project-based labor with a corresponding decrease in traditional staff augmentation. This trend results in a lack of visibility, lack of control, more compliance risk, and additional cost to the business.
