A properly managed facility generates value for your organization. During the recent economic downturn, many companies were forced to reduce their operating costs. While the cuts were necessary the reductions took a toll on the facilities resulting in reduced service levels and increased downtime. Consequently, companies are now looking to drive greater benefit from the investments they are making to manage their facilities. Recently, DTZ surveyed several of their facility management clients to better understand how a client perceives their facility management outsourcing experience. The survey results are surprising but also illustrate the potential that can be generated from a company’s facility budget; a budget line which often represents the third largest cost contributor of most companies’ total cost of operations. The findings also suggest that the structure by which companies have engaged facility management providers is a significant contributor to the success of the program. In this two-part workshop, DTZ will share key findings and offer insights and examples of how the best companies outsource facility management to drive the best results.
Topics in this session included:
- How facility management companies really drive value
- Key factors that often contribute to facility management outsourcing results
- Real examples and resources to help you develop a solid facility services outsourcing strategy and process
- Answers to your questions on how to take the next step for your company
