Procurement processes have become recognized as significant contributors to the overall corporate value chain, especially as they have increased in effectiveness. With growing global capabilities, demands for greater internal efficiencies and the need to utilize valuable procurement resources effectively, companies are realizing the need to allocate their procurement teams in focused, “high impact” pursuits. This has given rise to outsourcing procurement activities as a key element in a company’s strategy to increase their overall procurement efficiency and impact to the bottom line. Outsourced procurement can bolster a company’s internal procurement team across the value chain from strategic global sourcing to tail spend management. In this presentation we will discuss the various insertion points for outsourced procurement, provide examples, give an overview of processes and share results.

Topics covered in this session included:

  • An understanding of where outsourced procurement fits within your organization
  • The impact it has on existing procurement teams
