The goal of every P2P (Procure-to-Pay) initiative is to achieve compliance: compliant purchases from approved vendors at contracted prices, following a compliant buy/pay approval process. Achieving the goal of both a fully compliant and paperless P2P process will, however, ultimately depend on getting real adoption from end users. This session highlighted best practices for planning and deploying compliant P2P processes which help rather than hinder users. This session also covered a case study from ICW Group, a California-based insurance company that succeeded in transforming its paper-based purchasing to a painless paperless process.

Topics covered in this session included:

  • How to create a single source-of-truth for team members and suppliers
  • How to empower end-users to achieve decentralized buying within a centralized process
  • How best to mandate compliance while making sure there are enough positive incentives
  • How to realize actual, quantifiable cost savings and process efficiencies
  • How to align all key stakeholder groups, including Procurement, Finance and IT, for a seamless flow from PO to Invoice and back to ERP
