As organizations go deeper into digital transformation, the portfolio of IT suppliers has become broader. Sourcing often faces the challenge of rationalizing the supply base to address non-efficient tail spend. Collaboration with IT is critical, and it helps to have a structured approach at the start. In this interactive roundtable, you will gain insights and participate in a discussion on taming the IT tail. Questions to consider during this roundtable discussion include:  

  • How can Sourcing articulate the value of portfolio rationalization with stakeholders? 
  • Which frameworks work best for analyzing and guiding decisions on IT categories? 
  • When should we let go of the traditional sourcing lever of “volume consolidation” and look for rational ways to expand the portfolio?
