The Human Capital Institute (HCI) produced a foundational study on Contract Talent (CT) in 2008 entitled The State of Contract Talent Management and the Role of HR. Since the time of the original report, we experienced one of the worst economic meltdowns in history. Two year’s worth of data from over 200 global organizations was collected and analyzed in this report to determine where the CT segment of the workforce is heading and how the organizational practices around CT have been changing. We uncovered a more thorough understanding of the benefits related to the use of CT, as well as new techniques and structures for managing this population most effectively.
