Despite its large scale and scope, MnSCU (Minnesota State Colleges and Universities) currently operates as a set of 54 independent schools. The MnSCU organization is not using its collective leverage to drive efficiencies and reduce its operating costs. Most procurement and sourcing decisions are made on a local basis. UnitedHealth Group is now participating in a loaned executive program that will help MnSCU develop procurement and sourcing processes and operations will help drive efficiencies and reduce operating costs.
