Meet the new SIG Community

A smarter home for SIG resources, and a livelier place to connect with your peers. Two places, one community, built around the way sourcing and procurement professionals actually work.

Two places. One community.

Read up in the SIG Resource Center, then talk it through with peers on Slack. Each does what it does best, and they’re built to work together.

SIG on Slack

Peer-to-peer conversation in the app many of you already use every day. Ask a question in the morning and have answers from practitioners by lunch, on your desktop or your phone.

  • Topic forums led by your peers
  • Real-time conversation, not just posts
  • Career Center channel
  • Announcements from SIG
Built to work together

Same topics. Same people. Two ways to engage.

The Resource Center and the Slack forums share the same procurement topics, from category management to third-party risk. Read the research, then join the conversation about it with peers who live it every day. The SIG forums show up right inside your own Slack, next to your team’s channels.

Sharing the should-cost template we used for our corrugated packaging event last quarter. Built it off the SIG TCO model, so it should drop right into your RFx.

Has anyone moved to a two-stage RFP for indirect categories? We’re thinking a quick market-scan RFI first, then a short-list RFP with should-cost modeling. Curious how you kept cycle time down and whether suppliers pushed back.
