Dr. Christian Heiss is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Operations practice, where he specializes in product cost optimization. His work involves partnering with clients to re-shape their products to significantly improve cost competitiveness. This includes product development, purchasing, and production. In the past years his clients approached him to help securing and subsequently de-risking the supply chain to ensure production. Bringing together all departments and utilizing divers levers from product redesign to alternative supply sources and production processes often helped to keep production running. He led the global study about how companies prepare for disruptions.
