It has been five years since the passage of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and four years since the Consumer Bureau opened its doors. Congress created the Bureau in response to the financial crisis to ensure that consumers have access to financial markets that are fair, transparent, and competitive.
