The SIG Resource Center is moving to The SIG Community. If you are a SIG Member, or enrolled in SIG University, and don’t have access yet, you can do so here. Already have access? Log in and visit the new SIG Resource Center.

This workshop will walk participants through “speed-to-source” tools, which are designed to assist Strategic Sourcing Managers in saving time and money, while enhancing the quality of their sourcing decisions. We will address methodologies for building a short list of potential vendors and analyzing them thoroughly. This includes exploring strategies for discovering and comparing vendors—not just the well-known big names—but the local and niche providers, too. We will also showcase detailed market analyses to understand the art of “the possible,” including: what to in-source, what to outsource, potential benefits and how to use focused case studies to quickly benchmark against your peers.

Topics in this session included:

  • How to use available tools to save time and money while enhancing the quality of sourcing decisions
  • How to build a short list of vendors, including factors and attributes to focus on
  • How to use case studies to research the market
  • How to understand the vendor landscape
