Stakeholder engagement is critical to any successful project. Beneficial and sustainable stakeholder involvement requires dedicated project managers, a talent often found in procurement. In this session, PNM will share a supply chain journey that demonstrates strong project management and engaged stakeholders despite facing changing, critical path deadlines to comply with the EPA and New Mexico Public Regulations Regional Haze Reduction Projects at a coal fired power plant.

Topics in this session included:

  • How the team developed creative project plans to manage requirements, while following internal processes
  • How procurement achieved stakeholder buy-in and maintained their seat at the table
  • What happened after the agreement was signed, sealed and delivered
  • How PNM managed multiple internal stakeholders including Risk and Legal parties to meet critical schedule requirements
