More than 35% of employers worldwide have reported skill shortages in 2014. This is the highest percentage in almost a decade and has been confirmed by numerous credible sources including Deloitte, Manpower, IBM and more. Is it time for a renaissance? Should we all take a page from yesteryear to avoid the trials and tribulations that will ultimately affect our individual organization’s capabilities? What is being done to craft alternative work models and the adoption of new people practices to combat this insidious and pervasive phenomenon? Come to this session to hear contemporary recruitment practices some organizations are deploying to discover untapped and/or under-tapped talent pools.  We will share what some companies are doing to take a stand and stem the tide of this major global talent issue.
