Today’s workforce has evolved significantly from that of a generation ago. Driven by the need for flexibility, speed, and cost control, organizations today depend on a mix of full-time and part-time employees, temps, independent consultants and third party firms to get vital work done. Furthermore, demographic shifts are driving increasing numbers of younger workers towards becoming “solopreneurs,” who are only loyal to the next interesting project, as well as retirees who still have much value to give but want to work on their own terms. With this evolution has come greater complexity and risk…but also opportunity. Progressive companies that figure out how to manage this “new” workforce will gain a distinct competitive advantage.

Topics in this session included:

  • About the “total” workforce evolution
  • How this evolution will impact the contingent workforce over the next 10 years
  • The management tools, technology and strategies that will help you to reduce risk and embrace the future
