In this session we will explore Spend Matters research and best practices for services procurement today (and tomorrow). This will include getting the most from technology (vendor management systems, freelancer management systems, work intermediation platforms, sourcing optimization, etc.) and services providers (e.g., MSPs, outsourcing firms, etc.). We will also delve into how to structure a plan of attack over the long haul, including building Centers of Excellence (COEs) and program offices, targeted specifically at services spend areas.

Topics covered in this session included:

  • Best practices for services spend categories
  • How to take advantage of different groups of technologies and services providers in services procurement
  • How to better manage your MSP partners
  • How to set up COEs for services procurement
