It is no surprise that the secret to driving real value in procurement is to form trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders that allow early engagement in spend decisions. The difficulty is how to get there! The solution will be different for each company, but perhaps there are some philosophies, practices and processes that leading companies have adopted that can apply to everyone. Google’s Strategic Sourcing Team has been on a journey from an “RFP factory” to a valued business partner by borrowing some of the tools from their Sales colleagues, such as “Voice of the Customer” measurement and a CRM system for internal stakeholders. This interactive session is ideal for procurement professionals interested in procurement value, business relationship management and change management.

Topics covered in this session included:

  • How Google measures value by focusing on stakeholder feedback
  • Why they implemented a Salesforce.com CRM system for internal stakeholders
  • How the CRM system drives Strategic Sourcing activity
