In this session, the presenters discussed typical ways of structuring global procurement organizations and the common legal issues that may arise from such structures. In addition they will share methodologies for addressing those issues and emerging trends in structuring, implementing and maintaining procurement organizations. Drawing on more than 40 years of collective experience in advising organizations in the consideration of these issues, the presenters shared a wealth of information on key risks and issues related to procurement structures around the globe. The session focused on key risk management issues, including cross border flows of information, products, services and cash and the tools that procurement professionals may use to identify and mitigate these risks.
