Risk is identified as one of the six mega trends in the business world today. Risk management is imperative, but also highly complex. Navigating the sea of uncertainty can be a very daunting task. This session provided an overview of a cognitive system that enables a partnership between people and computers, thereby enhancing and scaling human expertise. With the use of a technology like this, procurement can approach risk management using big data and analytics and ultimately begin to uncover, manage, and mitigate supplier and supply chain risk.
