Denali and SIG recently conducted an Indirect Spend Management Benchmarking Study to determine how best-in-class procurement organizations are driving more value today. Participants included more than 30 large-cap, North American firms across a diverse range of industries. This session will cover the three key areas studied. One component of the study focused on operational excellence, specifically how companies improve the efficiency of managing indirect spend, including best practices and people, processes and technologies. Another focused on how companies are creating value in an indirect spend portfolio through cost savings, service and quality improvements and/or other strategic benefits. The final component focused on future growth and included industry trends and planned initiatives.
Topics covered in this session included:
- How best-in-class procurement organizations are driving more value today
- What strategic procurement initiatives your peers have implemented to improve competency when managing indirect spend
- Benchmarks of excellence for specific indirect material categories
- Forecasted industry trends in the indirect procurement space
