Upskilling Procurement Professionals is a key aim in enabling a Procurement Transformation. In support of its Procurement Transformation, Roche launched a NEW Procurement Academy (internal branding) that addresses the unique talent development needs at the individual, functional, regional (at over 30 sites globally) and organizational levels. The NEW Procurement Academy provides the infrastructure, training options, processes, and transparency necessary to effectively and efficiently address the needs of a diverse group of internal business partners. By replacing a traditional "one size fits all" approach to talent development with one focused on individualized learning based on role and competencies, our Procurement Professionals are developing at accelerated rates and reporting high satisfaction. This dramatic impact occurred just months into the program. We will present highlights and share lessons learned of our current Procurement Transformation journey related to capability building.
