      This SIG Member from the buy-side is seeking best practices on how organizations have handled using standardized project codes to manage costs across departments in multiple use cases. This is not necessarily related to just the Procurement/Sourcing departments, but would be used company-wide. For example, project codes tied to specific large events, Facilities projects, or IT/Marketing initiatives.

      1. How did you standardize a set of codes and nomenclature?

      2. Are you using a tool/software to help create, manage, assign and track? 

      3. Who owns the creation and maintenance of the codes? 

      4. Can you share any related documentation such as policies or procedures? SIG will gladly scrub and remit for your approval before sharing.
